Oasis - “Falling Down” (video)

Oasis’ latest video off last year’s Dig Out Your Soul is something of an aural departure for the Mancunian rockers. The mood is darkly breezy with a dancey undercurrent. Noel Gallagher sings this one and his rather more reserved vocals—compared to his brother Liam—suit the vibe here. The video was directed by Wiz and kicks off to the strains of Elgar’s “Land of Hope and Glory”—perhaps more of a British anthem than even “God Save the Queen”—before squiggly electronics emerge and song proper kicks off and depicts life in the aristocratic spotlight.
