FCC uses Bullsh-t pulpit

Not very encouraging to see this: FCC Commissioner Wants To Push For DRM Just ‘Cause She Likes It
  
I guess the FCC needs to prove that in addition to being know-nothing puritical thought-police that they also have to show everyone that they’re also ignornant technocrats who think the best way to serve the public good is to screw them over.

Hasn’t the news about Sony’s recent DRM debacles reached the FCC yet?  So what’s the reasoning here?  “It went so badly by making the computers of people who bought CD’s legally vulnerable to virus attacks that it’s a great idea that should be encouraged.”  Brilliant.

Note to FCC: hire some people who know something about technology.

If you’d like to let the FCC know how wrong-headed it is, you can let them know through their website.  Just tell them that DRM was a huge failure for Sony and it’s the wrong way to go in the future.
