Rap Sessions: Does Hip-Hop Hate Women?, a townhall meeting on gender and hip-hop which convened at the University of Chicago last month, airs tonight at midnight on C-Span. Tune in to one of ten similar townhall meetings that toured the country throughout March and April 2007. Organized and moderated by Bakari Kitwana (Executive Director of Rap Sessions and author of The Hip-Hop Generation), the panel discussion features Tracy Sharpley Whiting ( author of “Pimps Up, Ho’s Down); Mark Anthony Neal (author of “New Black Man); Joan Morgan, (author of When Chickenheads Come Home to Roost); David Ikard (author of “Breaking the Silence: Toward a Black Male Feminist Criticism); T.J.
