British DJ N-Type is one of the primary figures behind the ever-growing, ever-changing electronic music style known as dubstep. Rinse:09 is a typical representation of his mixing style, and with 34 tracks crammed onto a single disc, it’s a rapid-fire assault, building gradually from slow-moving, sub-bass-heavy reggae to full-on, head-spinning mayhem. Along the way there’s drum’n'bass, dub, dancehall, grime, and even a bit of industrial. The signature spinning-hubcap synth effects become faster and ever more intense.
