My Human Wears Acedia Shreds rings ironic to me as a title (Acedia means listlessness or sloth-like behavior), because this EP is both much more assured and much more listenable than Dimlite’s last project, Prismic Tops. Diligent PopMatters readers would note I generally loved Prismic Tops. This new EP goes in a different direction, focusing more on beat progressions than sound experiments and vocal music.
