As it turns out, Ferraby Lionheart has some pretty lovable music to go along with that adorable stage-name of his. The Los Angeles-based, Nashville-born singer-songwriter lives in a magical pop wonderland somewhere between the neo-Tin Pan Alleyisms of Rufus Wainwright and the pure sweet melodies of Paul McCartney. His self-titled debut EP—originally self-released and recorded entirely in his own living room and kitchen—boasts six surprisingly polished and infectious tunes. It’s as easy to see why he’s made a famous fan out of Jon Brion as it is to understand why Nettwerk has snatched him up quick and set him to work on his debut full-length: if these six songs are any indication, Lionheart is one adorable name we’re going to be hearing a lot more of.
