Coming Home is a collection that was overseen by Time Love Lee who spent time as the Hammond player in Katrina and The Waves for a while in the ‘80s. But he isn’t walking on sunshine these days; there are no power pop rockers filling out this CD. Instead, Lee concentrates on a genre that’s been referred to as downbeat. It is electronic music, but it’s not the fast, energy drink sort popularized by the Chemical Brothers and others liket them. This CD opens with “He Needs Me” by Incog, and the song’s most distinctive element is the sound of lazy whistling. Lee has been described as an at ease hippie, and it’s easy to see why hippies can relax to this non-abrasive music.
