By A. L. FriedmanWith the RZA out carrousing with Quentin Tarantino and a fat bag of dust, the Wu-Tang Clan need look no further than the Brooklyn throwback funk outfit the El Michels Affair for all their future production needs. “The PJ’s (remix)” tosses out a late-era Pete Rock creampuff of a beat and replaces it with what could be a lost instrumental from Cuban Linx. Reminiscent of Ghostface’s “Child’s Play”, the new “PJ’s” is a droning, major-key mindfuck. Chef is all “ounces of goldfish” and whatnot. The Affair also hooks up a couple of desolate interludes, and a scratchy Wu-worthy instrumental bonus track.
