For twee fanatics, this album is perfect for a picnic with popsicle-eating and waching rainbows. Overall this album has a sweet bossa nova feel. The first two tracks, “16A” and “Walkin’ in the City”, are the strongest on the album. “Ventricle” could give even a dentist a cavity with the chorus: “Yes I’ve got a little space for you / Yes I’ve got a little ventricle / Yes I’ve got a little place / In my heart for you.” Sometimes it’s just too sweet for its own good, but true fans of the genre will eat this album right up. The first 1,000 copies of this album come with a bonus disc of rarities entitled Noche, Noche, which is comprised of 6 covers ranging from Henry Mancini’s “Nothing to Lose” to The Talking Heads’ “Heaven” to Leonard Cohen’s “A Bunch Of Lonesome Heroes” and two originals.
