I’m a bit surprised to see Tyler Cowen declare:
The best third of The Clash’s Sandinista is one of my favorite albums, period.
He doesn’t specify which third, but I would agree that it is one of my favorite albums, if these were the 12 songs:
1. Washington Bullets
2. Magnificent Seven
3. Up in Heaven (Not only here)
4.Something About England
5. If Music Could Talk
6. Somebody Got Murdered
7. Corner Soul
8. The Call Up
9. Hitsville UK
11. Police on My Back
12. The Sound of Sinners
That’s not to say the rest of it isn’t good, though I am not all that into the dub sides. I appreciate what they were trying to do, but don’t care to listen to them much.
