If you’re a music fan in San Diego or someone who sets a lot of store in the English rock press, then you’ve been waiting for a follow-up to Dirty Sweet’s superlative 2007 release, ...Of Monarchs and Beggars. The “skuzzy, ass-kicking rawk n’ roll” glorified by the NME is winning hearts and minds all across Europe as the band continues an extensive tour that will take them through May at the Moulin Blues Festival in the Netherlands.

American Spiritual is available now on Acetate Records, and can be purchased on iTunes or Amazon. “You’ve Been Warned” is the first single, a perfect example of the band’s fresh and relevant take on what many dismiss as a throwback genre. The only thing anachronistic about these guys is the stuff in their closets. And if you get a chance to see them live, do it—you’re in for a treat.
