We might have to wait some time yet for the Sleater-Kinney reunion Carrie Brownstein hinted at when she announced her own new project in this interview with the Guardian, but news of a Corin Tucker solo album will be more than enough keep their fans happy. According to Kill Rock Stars, Tucker will be releasing a solo effort in October 2010, which she has been recording in Portland. Tucker herself describes the upcoming album as “more of a middle-aged mom record” in the Portland Mercury, though, if YouTube videos of her performance at a bookstore benefit in March 2009 are any indication, her idea of mom rock is anything but mellowed out.
