Animated film inspires and proves that hairless mice can be adorable with the right animators.

This weekend, How to Train Your Dragon continued to dominate the box office, further proving that 3D animation is a force to be reckoned with in theaters. Yet, while we twiddle our thumbs, waiting for G-Force 2the next animated saga of guinea pigs with guns (G-Force grossed nearly $300 million worldwide), take comfort in this new trailer for the animated short film, The Mouse That Soared.

Directed by Kyle Bell, whose previous work notably includes Raisins Sold Out: The California Raisins II and Dance! Workout with Barbie, the film tells the story of a famous Vaudeville-era flying circus mouse, as he reflects on his humble beginnings. Just look those little baby mouse eyes! If the short trailer is any indication, this film will be just as enjoyable as the beloved Pixar shorts. The Mouse That Soared has been working the festival circuit since this past November and will soon be featured at the Newport Beach and San Francisco International Film Festivals.
