Beat Up Creations

Altered Antique Plates

The holiday of peace and good cheer is nearly upon us, and finding that certain something for that certain someone is not only daunting, but can (in some cases, as with my family) be frightening. A fellow colleague alerted me to this perfect mix of fun (so long as the bearer has a sense of humor) and practical gift for virtually everyone you know: a plate. We all must eat, thus, I think we shall eat best the food served on plates bearing the perfect mix of antiquity and pop culture. Spock looks rather becoming here, don’t you think? Or would your mom prefer Gizmo, or Sid and Nancy, or Sir Odebenus Rosmarus. Frankenstein is available, too. For the surreally light at heart: Chunk from the Goonies displaying a pair of antlers is fit for a King!  Head over to Beatup Creations on Etsy.com and find the perfect plate(s) for your loved ones. If they don’t like it, I’m sure it will smash well against a wall. That is, after all, how this holiday ends for some of us, isn’t it?
