Seeker Lover Keeper is a new hotly tipped trio from Australia made up of three leading Aussie singer-songwriters, Sarah Blasko, Holly Throsby or Sally Seltmann. All three have found critical success on their own and their new partnership is bound to be both fruitful and successful. Their new self-titled debut album is releasing this month and the ladies traveled to the Big Apple to write the record’s tunes and sing each other’s songs. Today we have the pleasure of presenting the U.S. premiere of the video for “On My Own”, starring popular Australian via London actor John Waters.

Seltmann says of the video shoot, “‘I have a fond memory of John Waters rehearsing outside on the day of the shoot. He had headphones on, and was slowly pacing, getting into character, singing along. It was a beautiful moment.” Meanwhile Blasko tells us the song itself is “about vulnerability, about trying to discover things buried deep. It was such a strange and wonderful thing to see this feminine vulnerability—in the beautiful fragility of Sally’s delivery and in the lyrics—played out by a man. You feel such sympathy for him, but you also know he’ll be ok. I like that about it.”
