Now a three piece band, Iceland’s Sigur Rós are coming to North America for a full fledged arena tour. You can pick up tickets from Ticketmaster for many of the dates that follow below from this link. If you aren’t already enticed, consider that the band could possibly preview material from their reported 2013 album (news on that is over at the band’s official site).
The tour kicks off in less than two weeks in Washington D.C., the day before the band arrives in New York to play at the famous Madison Square Garden. If you haven’t already bought tickets for this show, and you can visit Ticketmaster directly here to do so, well you are in luck. One of PopMatters’ readers has the opportunity to win a pair of tickets to see Sigur Rós (and opener Tim Hecker) in New York on March 25th. The only (and important) caveat for this contest is that the winner must be able to provide identification and pick up the tickets at the venue (CHANGED: pickup is at the Bowery Office) in New York. Please DO NOT enter if you are unable to get to NY for this show on your own dime. Our entry form is below.
