Brooklyn duo Callers (Sara Lucas and Ryan Seaton) specialize in downtempo indie with powerful vocals. That was on full display on one of the best songs from their 2012 album Reviver, “Heroes”, which PopMatters’ Brice Ezell described as “one of the best pop songs of 2012, one that’ll sadly be overlooked. Seaton explains, “This is the Soft Encounters take on the title track from our latest full-length. Luke is cranking out quality remixes these days, and this is another in a line of saturated, pumping, delay-heavy versions that are being churned out of his laptop.”
