Fanfarlo offer the new track "Myth of Myself" from their forthcoming third album as a free download.

Fanfarlo’s website was updated recently with the following statement concerning the status of their new album. You can get a download of their new song “Myth of Myself” below for the price of your email. It sounds a bit looser than their last album, especially with the levity the flute part adds to it, so it will be interesting to see what direction the band takes on the new album.

“Dear everyone, we finished a new album. It’s the best one we’ve made. It’s not out yet, but we wanted you to be the first to have a listen, so here is a link to listen to the first song from it.

‘Myth of Myself (A Ruse to Exploit Our Weaknesses)’ is a rallying cry to (wo)man the barricades against the individual and all those who would have us believe this poisonous ruse. It is also the first song from our forthcoming third album, a record that in its own playfully serious / seriously playful way looks at human evolution and the weirdness of being this thing we call a person.”

Rooms Filled With Light could have very easily fallen into the sophomore slump category. It had all the trappings of a pre-destined failure, but Fanfarlo somehow guides it all into an enjoyable, 80's-driven art-pop LP.
