With all the sessions that you can find online, the Toy Sessions stand out for their creativity and their charitable cause.

Since June of this year, Save the Children has been working with the Toy Sessions to collect donations for “Todos Contamos”, (which in English means “we all count”), a project that aims to stop infant mortality in developing countries. The Toy Sessions are filmed at important music festivals of Spain, like Festimad and FIB. Besides featuring Spanish speaking artists, like Alejandro Sanz, Vetusta Morla and Francisca Valenzuela, they also include international popular acts like Elbow and The Go! Team. Each of these musicians, performs a song with toy instruments dedicated to the children, helping to spread the word of this project.

Below, you can watch Elbow playing “Grounds for Divorce”.

We all know how critical it is to keep independent voices alive and strong on the Internet. Please consider a donation to support our work as independent cultural critics and historians. Your donation will help PopMatters stay viable through these changing and challenging times. Thanks everyone.
