It doesn’t take long for This Frontier Needs Heroes to get to the twist they give their wistful Americana sound on “It’s Over Now”, starting as it does with some squiggly lines of sitar. As unexpected as the steely shimmer of Arvid Smith’s sitar might seem, it fits well with the brisk shimmery drums, the understated acoustic guitar play, and echoing vocals by band principals Brad and Jessica Lauretti. “It’s Over Now” comes off This Frontier Needs Heroes new album Hooky, out on 27 August.
