Twenty-one-year-old Lewis Watson might have a knack for songwriting that belies his age and experience level, but he’s still fresh-faced enough that he can still wear his feelings on his sleeve convincingly. On this acoustic take of his single “Even If”, Watson draws out the immediacy of his folk-pop stylings through the understated yearning of his unvarnished performance. PopMatters premieres this live presentation of Even If; the song appears on Watson’s upcoming EP, “Some Songs with Some Friends”, which comes out 7 December via Warner Music.
