Juniore - "Christine" (video) (Premiere)

by PopMatters Staff

22 January 2014

French chanteuse Anna Jean heads up the Parisian electro act Juniore with beguiling beats and an ultra sultry voice... but of course.

Last fall Juniore released a limited edition 7-inch single, “Christine” / “Dans Le Noir” and turned heads with their enigmatic sound, along with numerous on-target comparisons to Françoise Hardy and Cat Power. It’s a preview of coming attractions as Juniore will release a full-length album later this year. In the meantime, check out the brand new video for “Christine”, a tune that is something of a tribute to the older films of John Carpenter.

Juniore also has a few upcoming NYC-area dates:
2/6 - Pianos - New York, NY
2/7 - Rough Trade - Brooklyn, NY
