Either Twitter Is Mean or Slowdive Are Reuniting

by Joseph Fisher

27 January 2014

All the world's a stage, and Slowdive might soon be playing on it (again).

For just over a week, the former members of Slowdive—shoegaze peers and labelmates of My Bloody Valentine, Ride, the Boo Radleys, to name just a few—have been using their personal Twitter feeds to count down to what appears to be something big. In addition, an official band Twitter feed has gently emerged from the ether. Something is awesome in the state of the Internet. Could Slowdive be reuniting after all of these years? Or, is the band using fans for their sport?

Only time will tell.

For now, though, let the prospect of a reunion make these gloomy winter days a little brighter.
