Off Belle Adair‘s 2013 debut The Brave and Blue, “Slowest Routine” combines a rootsy undertone with sleeker, modern elements, a vibe that’s visualized in the stunning video for the track. Indeed, it captures what’s both organic and state-of-the-art about Belle Adair’s approach, the rough twang of Matt Green’s voice set against a gently building soundscape that hits a dramatic crescendo. Directed by Kris Daw, the video for “Slowest Routine premieres on PopMatters.
