Kyle Hollingsworth - "Speed of Life" (album stream) (Premiere)

by Brice Ezell

15 August 2014

Leading up to the release of the String Cheese Incident keyboardist Kyle Hollingsworth's newest solo effort, Speed of Life, you can stream the entire album here at PopMatters.

Kyle Hollingsworth no doubt has a lofty task as a member of the String Cheese Incident; being in a group known for dynamic jams heavily reliant on tight interplay, Hollingsworth has no doubt had to build some serious chops as a result. Unsurprisingly, then, Hollingsworth has taken his creative energies into other realms, including solo work. Speed of Life, his latest outing, marks his third solo album, and in addition to Hollingsworth you’ll hear musicians from the String Cheese Incident, Big Gigantic, and the Motet.

Hollingsworth tells PopMatters about the album, “My new album is a celebration of collaboration. From the many musicians of varied genres, including Big Gigantic, The Motet and Elephant Revival, each track has its own story ine in my ‘speed of life.’”

Speed of Life is out on August 19th through Sci Fidelity.
