Jesse Macht - "Suitcase Heart" (album stream) (Premiere)

by Brice Ezell

15 September 2014

For a collection of earnest, emotionally straightforward balladry, look no further than Jesse Macht's Suitcase Heart.

Los Angeles singer/songwriter Jesse Macht is about to release his latest recording, the studio LP Suitcase Heart. The album is a collection of nine emotionally earnest and straightforward songs, a product of numerous years working and playing in the LA music scene. (The pop jaunt of “Nothing Wrong With a Little Rain” could easily be read as a cheeky jab at LA residents’ notorious inability to handle the slightest bit of precipitation.)

“I’m so excited to share this release with PopMatters,” Macht says. “I’m truly proud that the stories and experience, passion and grace, that inspired me to write these stories of hurt and love, are now finally making their way out into the world. I hope for others to take them on and make them their own.”

Suitcase Heart is out on September 23rd.
