Just in town for PopMatters’ week celebrating Motown, Raphael Saadiq has released a new video, “100 Yard Dash”. In our Slipped Discs 2008 feature, Steve Horowitz said that “Saadiq has brought that music [Motown] back into the present. His tribute to the Motor City magic strikes the right balance of reverence and fun as he recalls why people enjoyed the Sound of Young America even during the country’s most turbulent decade.”
