Janelle Monáe has made at least four brief performances in New York in the past week. The first was a Fashion Week event hosted by Rebecca Minkoff. The second was her taped performance on The Late Show with David Letterman, which had been broadcast after her third event, a private album release show on Pier 84 in front of some lucky fans, guests and media. Finally, Monáe performed early for NBC’s Today Show in Rockefeller Center. Video clips from Letterman and the Today Show performances are below as well as a highlight reel from Pier 84.

Performance on Letterman:

Just a few hours later, Monáe’s Pier 84 performance came at the culmination of her ‘Electric Pirate Radio’ broadcast. Monáe brought Big Boi out for his spot on “Tightrope”, and Sean Combs was a guest, both of whom have lent her a lot of support. Her set also “Cold War”, “Electric Lady”, the Jackson 5 cover of “I Want You Back” and “Q.U.E.E.N.” (without Badu).
