Sometimes, all a song has to do is make you feel good inside. This is what Oakland electronic duo PARENTZ sets out to do with “LoseCTRL”.
The song starts out with grooving drums and bass reminiscent of ‘90s funk and then evolves to invoke brushes with ‘80s electropop synth and chiptune influences. It’s a multi-layered, ethereal composition that speaks well to the duo’s art-pop billing.
PARENTZ founder Jeremy Sullivan calls “LoseCTRL” “a perfect goodbye to summer” with its “bouncy bass and a feel-good vibe that nicely reminds you to let it all go.” We could not agree more.
