Andy Partridge —"Sonic Boom "
From Fuzzy Warbles Collector’s Album on Ape House
The Fuzzy Warbles Collectors Album brings together over 100 songs from XTC frontman Andy Partridge’s songwriting archive. Recorded over the years, whilst Andy and XTC were signed to Virgin Records and later to the Idea and Ape labels, the material is spread across Eight Volumes featuring songs and alternate versions of many XTC favorites that never made it onto the respective final albums. There are also songs Andy never got to complete that he’s re-visited and finished off especially for this Fuzzy Warbles Series.

Nellie McKay —"There You Are In Me"
From Pretty Little Head on Hungry Mouse/spinArt Records
On Halloween 2006, Nellie McKay released the self-produced Pretty Little Head as she originally intended: 23 songs on two discs with a 44-page color booklet of photos and lyrics through her own label, Hungry Mouse (distributed by spinART / Ryko).

The Curtains —"Go Lucky "
From Calamity on Asthmatic Kitty
On hiatus from Deerhoof’s busy touring schedule, Chris Cohen could not restrain himself from writing and recording the 13 songs on The CurtainsCalamity. Making a record in the wrong way (with no band and no label) at the wrong time (when juggling bands would have been impossible) was truly an uncalculated and quixotic move. But calamities are caused by the sudden release of latent energy when opposing forces collide, and that’s exactly where the name of The Curtains 4th album comes from.

Miho Hatori —"Barracuda"
From Ecdysis on Rykodisc
Miho Hatori loves words. As one half of the international pop phenomenon Cibo Matto, Hatori sang in French, Portuguese, Japanese and English, creating lyrics that made words dance and flow as sweetly as a stream of summer water slipping down a mountainside.
