The drive through eastern Canada is truly a stunning and surprising one and one not done often enough. That’s probably because the world hasn’t discovered Share and its fourth full-length, Slumping In Your Murals. This is the record crafted for the scenery on these drives that range from the seemingly barren to the overwhelmingly bountiful. Though easily classified as dusty folk-rock with tinges of mellow pop, the simple depth of range on Slumping In Your Murals is outstanding.

Tracks like the bending and swaying “Horse and Rider” present something of a modern-day Neil Young to the young and uninitiated. Yes, there’s a theme developing here. It’s a genuine shame a band like Share can get four albums into its career and not get the attention it deserves. Perhaps, like the drive through eastern Canada, this Halifax five-piece is best left as a secret.
