Originally released in 2007, the sophomore album from Portland-by-way-of-Michigan feminine noise punkers Little Claw is one of the true hidden gems in the catalog of Thurston Moore’s Ecstatic Peace! label. This excellent sounding reissue comes courtesy of veteran tastemaker Byron Coley’s cheekily-named subsidiary imprint to his Bull Tongue co-columnist’s label that he runs out of his retail store in Florence, Massachusetts. Now is your chance to finally get hip to Kilynn Lunsford and co.’s caustic, frenzied collection of riot grrrl throwbacks, which sound like what Sonic Youth could have manifested into had Kathleen Hanna truly hijacked the band from Kim Gordon after the video shoot for “Bull in the Heather”.
