Hailing from Ypsilanti, Michigan, this pop-driven unit preps for its new full-length with four tracks of fanatical fun for pop appreciators. Leah Diehl’s vocals are sweet (although not overly so) and if there’s a certain familiarity to that sweetness, it’s no deal breaker. The breakneck pace of “When You Sleep” and thunk-thunk-thunk of “I Know” show the trio (rounded out by Aaron Diehl and Ben Collins) having what you might call a good, old-fashioned Midwestern blast. The ballad-y closer “Wake Up and Find Myself” may be the best thing here, although that’s a close call among four strong compositions. Only one track comes in at over three minutes––and not a moment of any one is wasted.
