The District Attorneys: Slowburner

The District Attorneys have been going strong for about three years now and they finally have something to show for it. Slowburner is as strong of a power pop-heavy debut I’ve heard in years. Coming off as somewhat of a less snotty the Henry Clay People works in their favor and over Slowburner‘s dozen tracks, all beautifully sequenced, they navigate their musical (and genre) transitions with the ease of seasoned veterans. They’re always gripping and every song seems like a highlight or future crowd favorite. Tempos don’t matter and incredibly strong songwriting abounds. This is how you start a career. If Slowburner hints at any room for growth, I’m incredibly excited to hear their next record.
