Bastille’s Bad Blood, plays rather like the perfect West End pop musical, full of anthemic choruses, sing-along vocals, and impossibly catchy hooks. Maybe it’s because Smash is running in the US at present and frontman Dan Smith reminds me a bit of Jimmy (both in appearance and musically) that I immediately jump to that connection. Still, it sticks and, honestly, it’s one of the most intriguing aspects to Bastille‘s music. Smith truly believes music can move mountains and he aims for the stars.
