Call for Papers: Return to the 36 Chambers: Enter The Wu-Tang, 20 Years Later

All things Wu Tang!

In commemoration of the 20-year anniversary of the release of ‘Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)’, PopMatters is inviting submissions for a special section devoted to all things Wu. Essays run 1,200-3000 words on any aspect of the album, on the individual MCs, the RZA’s production techniques, Wu culture, the Wu-Tang as a business model, the legacy of 36 chambers, and anything else that fits.

Essays DO NOT have to be celebratory—we welcome an range of informed opinions on this record.

We also invite writers to pitch for a song-by-song series, which will cover every track on the record. These write-ups should be 400-500 words.

Come on, fans of the Clan. We know your slang’ll leave our headpieces hanging.

Feature pitch deadline: Sunday, 26 May
