On Tuesday, July 30, SOB’s Summer Splash Series is bringing you Allen Stone, the small town, Washington-raised soul singer whose eclectic persona and undeniable talent are earning him a cult following across America. Evidenced in the old school essence of his music, Stone got his start in soul in the most old school fashion: singing in his parent’s church. He digitally released his first album, Last to Sleep, in 2010, but it was his second album, 2011’s Allen Stone, that prompted the buzz escalating around him today. Despite being self-released, the album made it to #2 on iTunes’ R&B/Soul chart, in addition to appearing on two different Billboard charts. Performances on shows like Conan and Jimmy Kimmel Live further propelled him, and he is now signed with ATO Records, who re-released Allen Stone in 2012 to a wider audience.

As part of a national tour that’s quickly selling out, his Summer Splash performance will leave you uplifted, inspired, and, undoubtedly, wanting to hear even more Allen Stone.
