Chris Flemmons won't just be coming to a venue near you, but he's bringing the show right to you if you're picked as a host for the Baptist Generals Living Room Tour.

The Baptist Generals' Chris Flemmons won't just be coming to a venue near you, but he's planning on bringing the show right to you, if you win a contest to have him play an acoustic set in your very own home. Running from September 16 through October 15, 2013, the Baptist Generals Living Room Tour is a collaboration with the Undertow Music Collective, which has sponsored similar events with likes of David Bazan, Damien Jurado, and Califone. For details on how to host your very own Chris Flemmons performance, visit the Undertow site.

To give you an idea of what might be in store for you, check out the amusing video announcing the tour contest, which features "Floating" from the Baptist Generals' standout May 2013 release, Jackleg Devotional to the Heart. Of Jackleg Devotional to the Heart, Associate Music Editor Matthew Fiander wrote, "The broadcast is clearer this time around, though by no means crystalline, and while Flemmons sings of love, his honeyed howl conveys it with all the unpredictable, pent-up emotion of a once-feral child baying through night terrors in his new suburban bedroom." Who knows, that suburban room might just be yours for Flemmons' upcoming tour.

Over the Rainbow: An Interview With Herb Alpert

Music legend Herb Alpert discusses his new album, Over the Rainbow, maintaining his artistic drive, and his place in music history. "If we tried to start A&M in today's environment, we'd have no chance. I don't know if I'd get a start as a trumpet player. But I keep doing this because I'm having fun."
