American Babies - "Goddamn" (video) (Premiere) + Tour Dates

PopMatters Staff

With its tug-at-heartstrings twang and melancholy vocals, American Babies’ “Goddamn” is a sentimental rocker to drown your sorrows in.

With its tug-at-heartstrings twang and frontman Tom Hamilton’s melancholy vocals, American Babies’ “Goddamn” is a sentimental rocker to drown your sorrows in. And yet, as the track from American Babies’ 2013 album Knives & Teeth attests to, there’s some solace to be found in giving voice to those under-your-breath mutterings that know too much about hopes slipping away and regretful regrets. Premiering here on PopMatters, the video for “Goddamn” comes as American Babies prepares to release a new EP, Stark & Red (The Royal Potato Family) on 1 April, and to go on tour.
