Fan Modine – “One Company Town” (stream) (Premiere)

Fan Modine‘s Gordon Zacharias takes his time to compose perfectly balanced and complex pop songs. It’s that meticulous attention to detail that makes every Fan Modine album a cause for celebration among pure pop fans. That’s on full display with this first single, “One Company Town”, from Cause Célèbre, coming in April from Lost Colony Music.

Zacharias tells us about the song: “These days we’ll rent our spirit to those who are often disguised as bleeding hearts or culture messiahs. It can be hard to recognize that which binds us when we are constantly trying to gather nuts or stay afloat. On occasion, the food is good, the band is playing in tune, and the jester is funny. But no bumper-crop will find us amongst the ranks of those who provided the seed, the shelter, or the oxen. In fact we’ll work more for less, and abandon the difference, all while still singing “thanks for the opportunity.”
