Consisting of three members who don’t live in the same city — or even in close proximity to each other — with their own distinctive musical sensibilities, Secret Cities definitely make the most of their differences. Veering from spot-on girl-group nostalgia to warm, homespun experimentation, those diverse points of view come together on the indie-pop group’s latest album, Walk Me Home. And it’s particularly apparent on the track “Paradise”, which combines contemplative mid-tempo tones with enough lilting melody to lift the bittersweet moods.
“Paradise” premieres here on PopMatters; Walk Me Home releases on 24 June via Western Vinyl.
