Natalia Clavier – “My Favorite Things” (video) (Premiere)

Amazon recently put together a playlist of Christmas-themed tunes just in time for the holidays, featuring contributions from Amanda Palmer, Beth Orton, and Lucinda Williams. Joining this fine cast of women is the Brooklyn-based singer Natalia Clavier, who lends her golden pipes to the Sound of Music standard “My Favorite Things”.

Clavier tells PopMatters “Aside of being a huge fan of the movie The Sound of Music, I thought this was the perfect tune to help those who sometimes doesn’t feel super happy about the holidays, whether it is due to missing love ones that aren’t able to spend the festivities with them or for other reasons that may sadden them. This song makes me smile instantly, it’s positive, uplifting and I think we can always use a little ‘cheer me up’ any time of the year!”
