For a slice of honky-tonk rock chock full of spirited backing vocals and bluesy guitar, Ivory Deville's "Dance Hall" will do just the trick.
Ivory Deville may call Los Angeles its home, but by the sound of "Dance Hall", a track off its recently released self-titled LP, they'd fit in just as well in a Southern honky-tonk. This is just the kind of tune to jolt one out of the winter doldrums and into the mood for dancing -- yes, the song really does live up to its name. "Dance Hall" now has a fun and free-spirited live video to accompany its rock swagger, which you can view below.
Vocalist Johnny Elkins tells PopMatters a little bit about what happened during the video shoot: "We shot these videos live in a wing of some freshman dorms in Pomona and before we even played the first song, we managed to set off the fire alarms throughout the entire complex."
