American Aquarium’s Music Gets Powered by Solar Panels at South by Southwest

At this year's South by Southwest music festival, the North Carolina alt-country outfit American Aquarium gave a performance in a small, solar panel powered venue called Jam in the Van.

If you think American Aquarium look a bit cozy in the performance videos below, you’d be correct, as they’re playing inside a tiny mobile music studio called Jam in the Van. Billed as “the world’s first solar powered mobile music studio and performance session platform”, Jam in the Van stopped off at this year’s jam-packed South by Southwest (SXSW) festival, where the alt-country rockers of American Aquarium gave a three-song performance. You can view each song individually below.

“Southern Sadness”:

“Losing Side Of Twenty Five”:

American Aquarium’s newest LP, Wolves, was released in February.

Jam in the Van will be making stops at the following music festivals in 2015:

BottleRock Napa Valley in Napa, CA — May 29-31

High Sierra Music Festival in Quincy, CA — July 2-5
