Blockbuster action star Arnold Schwarzenegger takes to a small indie with the zombie tale Maggie, which made quite a splash at this year's Tribeca Film Festival.
Arnold Schwarzenegger will always be best known for his role in the Terminator flicks and as the original Conan the Barbarian. (That one time when he ran one of the largest states in America… yeah, best to forget about that.) But while his blockbuster cred is undeniable, his latest venture finds him heading up a small indie called Maggie, which still requires him to bust out his action hero chops as his character tries to stop his daughter from turning into a zombie.
Whether or not this will prove "Ahnuld"'s dramatic breakthrough has yet to be seen, but for now, this represents a nice change in pace for the elder statesmen of ass-kicking.
Maggie will see a limited release in the US on 8 May, and a full release in the UK on 17 July.
