Glam rock, garage rock, and Britpop merge into one on this raucous new track from the UK band.
Cornwall, England trio Lost Dawn excel at taking the more glam rock-oriented side of psychedelic music and bringing it into a more contemporary focus. Comparisons have been made to T. Rex and Supergrass at the same time, and after hearing new single "Electrify", that's not entirely inaccurate. As it happens the band has just released a wonderfully strange new video for the track, which can be seen below.
“We recorded ‘Electrify’ to quarter inch tape at Troubador, the studio we share in Falmouth, Cornwall," the band says. "It was initially intended to be a b side to our last single ‘Song For Robert’, but it was too good for no one to hear it. It’s also the first track we’ve recorded as a three piece, it bridges the gap between our debut eponymous album and the next release we’re working on now."
"Electrify" will be released 14 August. Learn more about Lost Dawn on Facebook.
