Graeme Gilmour

Graeme Gilmour is an educator, writer, and musician based in Hiroshima Prefecture. He has over twenty years of experience in EAP, TESOL, and the International Baccalaureate, and previously served as an Associate Professor of English for Academic Purposes at Yamaguchi University. His research and publications span language education, CLIL, interdisciplinary curriculum design, and English language acquisition, including work for JARIBE and contributions to Content and Language Integrated Learning in Spanish and Japanese Contexts. He is currently an Extended Essay Supervisor at Hiroshima Global Academy.Away from academia, Graeme is a long-time drummer, vocalist, and storyteller of the punk underground. He performs with the bands Do You Still Hate Me and The Sags, drawing influence from The Damned, Rocket From the Crypt, New Bomb Turks, and The Cramps. His memoir-in-progress, You Don’t Remember Me, Do You?, recounts his encounters and misadventures in the UK and Japanese music scenes from 1987–2000.
