Oana Godeanu-Kenworthy is a Teaching Professor of American Studies at
Miami University, Ohio. She is the author of Between Empire and Republic:
America in the Colonial Canadian Imagination (2022) and Videotape
(2025), and has extensively published on American and Canadian literature
and on Eastern European film. Her public-facing work has appeared in
venues such as the Conversation, the LA Review of Books, Popula, and
the Washington Post.
