With a graceful and gradual shift, Loveless has been carving a path toward a distinct sound. On Somewhere Else, she hits the sweet spot between where she came from and where she’s going.
While they are still extremely technical and carefully arranged, it’s nice to see the Farewell Drifters let go a little bit, pushing themselves in a few different directions.
While the perpetual exploration throughout All the Good Times is breezy and freewheeling enough to avoid bubbles of boredom, it's also the thorn in the record's side.
