Brother Hawk Bring Southern Rock Into the Next Century With “Like Water” (premiere)

Atlanta's Brother Hawk are a confluence of the Allman Brothers, Mogwai, and Queens of the Stone Age. Hear their new single, "Like Water".

Atlanta-formed Brother Hawk return with a new video for the track “Like Water”, captured live at Big Trouble. The unit carries a variety of influences, from sounds that speak to their Southern heritage (Allman Brothers, Black Crowes) as well as elements of post-rock and heavy-hitting alternative music (Queens of the Stone Age, Dinosaur Jr.).

Featuring J.B.Brisendine (vocals/guitar), Nick Johns-Cooper (keys/ vocals), James Fedigan (bass), and Evan Diprima (drums), the group has toured with Blackberry Smoke, appeared on both Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Simple Man Cruise and Joe Bonamassa’s Keeping the Blues Alive Cruise, as well as the Southern Rock Cruise.

The unit’s latest album, The Clear Lake, arrived in May 2018. Providing an unlikely and yet wholly convincing rendition of American rock in 2019, Brother Hawk seems poised to take this time-honored brand of music deep into the future.
